Took the rims/tires off tonight to paint the rims. They are primed, waiting a few days for the primer to cure then Ill be throwing gloss black paint on them.

I have been thinking about ordering a 60" sheet of 3D carbon fiber 3M vinyl and tracing it over the existing decals, then maybe remove any decals that are 'too much'. I think it would make the bike look a lot better and it would be a good way to get rid of the pink.

It'd be a shame to change such a nice clean stock bike's appearance.
I was just 19 when that bike came out, and I wish mine was clean enough to be stock.

Looking good.

Where did you get the triple clamp and tank anti-scratch stick-on thingies from? I could use some... my keys have mine all marked up.

It is kind of a shame, but Im really more looking to get personal enjoyment out of the bike while keeping a newer look to it. I figure as long as I don't glue LED's everywhere and weld a wheelie bar on the back Ill be okay. Im going to have the rims powder coated the same color as the frame at some point this summer as well, the black isn't really doing it for me.

Ripcuda, I got them off ebay. It seemed to be a rare find, as I havn't found anymore since. It came in a Yamaha Genuine parts and accessories package, so I figured it was probably something a shop had lying around. Its actually real carbon fiber, although the tank pad and gas tank filler cover is just a 2d fake carbon sticker basically.
