Well, partially new. I think I was a member a few months ago but I forgot my login info.

I ride a blue 95. No real mods, just a V&H exhaust.

I have a few questions.

First, we will start with: I want to get frame sliders, but not many people sell '95 parts. Is there another kind I can get? Would 96 yzf sliders fit?

all year YZF600 sliders will work, but you have to cut the fairings. As far as I know there are no "no cuts" available, unless you mount them in the forward engine mount bolts.

I mounted mine in the forward engine mounting bolts, i did not read the directions clearly enough  . I still had to notch a little for the slider to clear the opening of the fairing.

Well I ordered some sliders off the internet, I hope they fit and hold up!

I do have another question.

The pictures, they are of the chain tensioner right?

I dont think its supposed to be broken like that, is there anyway I can fix this? I was thinking of a thick piece of metal with a hole drilled in it, does anyone know if this would work? (dont mind my chain, its getting replaced asap)

ya tensioner/adjuster whatever u want to call it. just aids in moving the axle to adjust chain slack. not sure how much they are new, but are the same on all yzf600rs. so would be very easy to find. id suggest posting on yzf600r.com looking for one.

while you could use a piece of metal as there really isnt any load on it other then pulling back on the axle when tightening down on the bolts. those facory blocks have a lip which a piece of metal wouldnt, (unless you made something) and you would risk it turning on you and into your sprocket/chain. or use a smaller piece and still have some exposed openings in the back of the arm.

so my suggestion is to track down another one of those blocks. it will look the best and work the best.

not to be mean but your chain looks pretty rough and pretty limp. might want to check the adjustment

thats the price i had in my head and i think it would be worth it, to me that is.

but i still think you could prob get one for free or next to nothing on the other boards. i say the other boards not because we are cheap here. belive me if someone had a spare they would have offerd it by now. but yzf600r.com has SOOOOO many memebers you will find one there if you post.
